  • Wisconsin Historical Society Auditorium (map)

Location: Wisconsin Historical Society Auditorium
Speaker: James Paquette
Title: Beads, Rings, and Datable Things: The Goose Lake Outlet #3 Site (20MQ140)

About: On April 26th, the Charles E. Brown Chapter will host a very special guest speaker—Mr. James Paquette!  Mr. Paquette will discuss his research at the Goose Lake Outlet #3 site in Michigan.  This site is the oldest dated Fur Trade Era site in the western Great Lakes, home to a proto-Historic population just beginning to engage with French commerce.  Sites of this age are exceedingly rare, so this is a rare opportunity for us as well.  We hope you will join us!

Free and Open to the Public
